San Diego Comic-Con 2012!

This year's San Diego Comic-Con was this weekend from July 12th to the 15th and corralled about 130,000 people across the entire event in the San Diego Convention Center. Comic-Con is a yearly event where fans of everything from movie, to TV, to comics, to books come together to enjoy panels with their favorite stars, be nerdy, and COSPLAY. The event's 43rd year was jam packed with nerds, geeks, and fan girls alike. Some of the panels included The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn- Part 2, Fifty Shades of Grey, and all the things people (nerds) really care about.

Peter Jackson hosted a panel for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" where he showed 12 minutes of the film to crazy fans of the Lord of the Rings. The film will come out December 14th.

A panel for "Iron Man 3" was held which showed off Tony Stark's new fun things including a silver-crimson Iron Man suit. This panel even included an appearance from Iron Man himself, Robert Downey Jr.

On the lines of superhero's a trailer was released for a new Superman movie titled "Man of Steel" at Comic-Con in front of 6,000 people. The trailer will be officially released June 2013. I wonder when people are going to get sick of these movie's.

We are still on the line of superhero's because a new Cartoon Network series "Beware the Batman" is announced to not have any familiar Batman villains like the Joker, Penguin, or Riddler. Mitch Watson the co-producer of the show said that they are going to look more on Batman's detective roots. DC villains will still be there, popular or unpopular. They are just going to focus on Batman's extreme intelligence to figure things out, instead of just punching things. Even though we all love when Batman punches things.

There were many other panels and much more fun and plenty of cosplay and if you weren't involved, sorry! But if you are a regular convention-er then pre-registration starts next month. If you want your genuine first Comic-Con experience you'll have to wait a little bit later to get your tickets for the 44th Comic-Con.
